What sort of people do you want to be involved?

As long as you can commit to an hour or so a week we would love to have you involved. The more diverse the group is, the better we can serve the community. 

I cannot commit to a regular time slot but I have the odd day free?

Perfect! We hope to run larger events as we get more settled and we will always need people to help with those events. 

Specific Opportunities Available

As a group, we have some specific volunteering opportunities available

Food Waste Project Lead

We need someone to take on the task of project lead for Food Waste. This will include research into current practices in the town and working with the community to reduce the waste produced. 

No experience needed, you can learn on the job - you just need access to a computer and the internet (via a phone is ok!), and know how to use it. 

Event Coordinator

We need  someone to help plan events such as litter picks and help think of other ideas of events we can do. 

No experience needed, you can learn on the job - you just need access to a computer and the internet (via a phone is ok), and know how to use it.

Market Stall Coordinator 

We are thinking of holding a market stall on market day as a touch point for the community to find out information and get advice. We need someone to coordinate this, making sure there are enough materials and making sure there is someone to man it.
